Have you met Doug English yet? He’s the reason why thousands of people across the globe have discovered the benefits of feeding turmeric for animals.
Only a few years ago Tegan Ford, who works in the same Vet clinic with Doug, vented her frustration about her horse’s itchy skin problems. Doug, who was already a fan of turmeric, told her to add some turmeric powder to her horse feed. Disbelieving Tegan decided to give it a go. Three days later she was amazed that it had made a difference (Read Tegan’s story HERE >> The Story of TUG).
“It was great,” said Tegan about her horse’s improvement thanks to turmeric, “but then Doug just kept sending me all his clients interested in turmeric for animals. I was sending out so many emails that I told him to start a group.”
The Turmeric User Group was started that night by Doug on Facebook. “I thought it would be good if we reached 100 members” chuckled Tegan. “I never imagined that we would get over a thousand.” The TUG group currently has over 100,000 members.
“I set the group up to get feedback on using turmeric for animals” said Doug. “I’m keen to take this further and do some research trials on turmeric and sarcoids (the most common type of skin tumour in horses).” Doug is in the process of getting some turmeric trials underway in Queensland, Australia. One such trial even involves turmeric and crocodiles.
Thanks to the TUG group, Doug and his turmeric followers have compiled a wealth of information on how turmeric can help animals and humans alike. This website ‘Turmeric Life’ will be the portal on where these findings, along with other information on turmeric, will be shared. (If you are interested in adding Turmeric to you, or your animals diet we suggest you go to the ‘Getting Started‘ page)
Doug English is the reason why the Turmeric Life website exists. Turmeric products that Doug has helped develop, will be available soon via this website.
